American Historic Society....

So my wife says out of the blue..."is there any Morgan Dollar that is not worth at least $4.95?"....she hands me an insert advertisment from the newspaper offering a "REAL MORGAN DOLLAR" for free...I pay only shipping($4.95) So I have a few minutes to spare...I call the 800 number...just wanting information...the on hold recording starts "thanks for calling, all of our reps are with other customers, etc"
about 2 minutes later, a younger voice female says. "Hi....you are calling about the free Morgan Dollar, yes?" I tell her I wanted info,etc...she says..."sure...just give me your name and credit card number you wish to use and the expiration date and I will explain the whole program to you"....I tell her that I would like the info 1st and if it is something I am interested in, I would provide her the credit card at that time... she tells me that she cannot proceed until all of MY info is in there system...I tell her that I do not wish to continue...and she says "so....you DON'T want the free coin?" and I politely say "no thank you" she begins to yell profanity at me as she slams the phone down!!!....anyone have any experience with this company, I found them online, some of the info is on the site...a big ripoff it seems...and once they get your credit card number, it loooks like you have to contact your credit card company to get the charges removed. I got a 2007 silver eagle for $4.95 a few weeks ago from them, you just have to call and put up with their sales speech for a few minutes, but if you just say "No, No, No...." over and over again, you're through it in 3-4 minutes. 5 bucks and a few minutes for a $15 item isn't bad. I've done it before with no problems. The do NOT charge your card for anything but the $4.95 shipping, if they did they would get sued in a second.

According to the website, after the "free" coin you will receive one per month at $49.95 plus $7.99 S/H automatically, so I would keep an eye on your credit card statement for a month or two.
Witty sig line currently under construction. Thank you for your patience.
